Kate is a professional arts worker whose passion for the arts and creativity led her into exploring and enjoying her own creative expression. Over time, she came to realise the tremendous power of using different forms of creativity to support improved confidence and communication skills, education, health and wellbeing and personal and professional development. Kate has developed a unique programme of workshops and sessions for groups and individuals of all ages and abilities and works both in Scotland and internationally.

She offers her services in two areas of arts and creativity:

CREATIVITY AND WELLBEING

Kate’s practice is rooted in her belief and experience of our ability as human beings to create more meaningful, happier and healthier lives for ourselves. Sometimes we need to make changes as life throws up challenges, in our health, our personal lives or in the workplace. New or different approaches may be called for or we may simply be looking for inspiration or courage. Often it’s important to find a place where we can safely explore what’s coming up for us, where we can develop our trust as we connect more deeply, meaningfully and creatively with ourselves and our lives.

Using techniques learned and practised in her own health and wellbeing journey, Kate brings a wealth of experience in expressive arts, counselling, coaching and mindfulness practice to her work. She also brings a compassionate and creative approach in facilitating workshops for groups and individuals, to support physical and emotional health, self expression and a deeper relationship with life.

"The arts are and should be firmly recognised as being integral to health, healthcare provision and healthcare environments." Department of Health 2007
